Warsztaty i rozmowa o książce prof. Ł. Gacka

On April 19, the Centre for Asian Affairs at the University of Lodz, the Department of Asian Studies at WSMIP UŁ and the Doctoral School of Social Sciences at the University of Lodz organized the first National Doctoral Seminar in Poland. The initiative gathered PhD students from the Jagiellonian University, the University of Warsaw, SWPS University, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, the University of Białystok, the University of Łódź and the Częstochowa University of Technology. After the meeting was opened by prof. Małgorzata Pietrasiak (KSA WSMIP UŁ) and prof. Ilona Barylska-Świątek, Dr. Jarosław Jura and Dr. hab. Dominik Mierzejewski presented the methodology for researching China's presence in Africa and local authorities in the People's Republic of China. In the next part of the meeting, individual outlines of doctorates submitted by workshop participants were discussed.

The second part discussed the book by prof. Łukasz Gacek (UJ) "Nowy wspaniały świat…?". The meeting was led by Dr. hab. Dominik Mierzejewski and Dr. Bartosz Kowalski. The main topics of the conversation included: issues of China's narrative strategies, Beijing's taking responsibility in international relations, as well as the climate policy promoted by the authorities in China.
