In the first week of June, a team consisting of Prof. Dominik Mierzejewski, Prof. Bartosz Kowalski, and Emilie Szwajnoch conducted a study visit to Geneva. As part of a grant from the National Science Centre titled "Redefining Multilateralism Through Relationality: Chinese Diplomacy in the United Nations", the team held discussions on the ongoing changes within UN institutions, particularly the Human Rights Council and the International Telecommunication Union. Additionally, the team conducted a seminar at the Delegation of the European Union to the United Nations, focusing on shifts in China’s diplomatic behavior. The meetings provided a broader perspective on the redefinition of multilateralism in the context of geopolitical change and highlighted further key directions for research regarding the evolving role of the UN and the participation of states in global multilateralism.
