As part of his ongoing research funded by the National Science Center, Dr. Bartosz Kowalski published the article "China's Mask Diplomacy in Europe: Seeking Foreign Gratitude and Domestic Stability" in the Journal of Current Chinese Affairs. In the text, he argues that the offensive of mask diplomacy carried with it the necessity of taking over the Chinese narrative on the pandemic, including the effective containment of the virus by the Chinese authorities.
